When Nefab first visited our facility they were amazed at the amount of corrugated waste found both on our property and throughout our supply chain. At the time we were using corrugated boxes as one-way items, but would re-use at every chance we could. Internally the thought was that the piece price was low and at times we could re-use the box a couple of times. It seemed like a good solution at the time.
After Nefab visited our facility they opened our minds to crunch numbers for disposal costs, damages during the cycles and our corrugated piece price to see the bigger picture - that a reusable plywood container would offer much more benefits than the current corrugated packaging.
Of course at first we were concerned that maybe the facts were skewed, or that our vendors wouldn't accept the packaging change, but with Nefab's help we implemented the solution 3 years ago last month and haven't looked back. Although this project has come to a close, we will be implementing the Nefab RePak very soon for future projects!
